Barwarus Alpha 1 Rail

The Alpha 1 Rail is a Russian inspired ALPHA Rail handguard set for the AK-family and should work with a variety of platforms. It has a Zenitco Style and is designed and made for AK rifles. Consists of 2 parts in a kit. This handguard is compatible with the B-33 rail from Zenitco.

ALPHA Rail handguard compatibility and specifications:
AK 100 series, 74S, 74M, AKM, AKMS and rifles based on them.
Not compatible with AK with milled receivers. Only stamped receivers.

Upper Handguard description:
Designed to be mounted together with the lower handguard rail with 8 screws + does not block the line of iron sight.
Picatinny Rails for optional Optic mount

Lower Handguard description:
Picatinny rail on three sides for installation of additional equipment.
Has a mini Basis rail on the bottom for installation of accessories compatible with Basis.
Has cutout for handguard retainer bracket and sling loop.

Purchased this because I was thinking it would be a great rail to turn my 106c in an alpha type clone. Unfortunately the front gas block/sight block keeps the top portion of this rail from going into place. Super bummed out, the rail itself is ok. But to scratch that itch for an alpha Ak. This won’t do.

The Barwarus rail installed on my KR-103 effortlessly one of the quickest and easiest mods to an AK I've done ever. Carolinashooters  had this rail at the lowest pirice online and the delivery was super fast thanks

Don't think this is just plug and play. Depending on your rifle you may need to do some fitting. I have a 104 variant ak74 and have 4hrs into labor as of today fitting this thing. Not only does it require fitting at the reciever end but also at the handgaurd retainer where it is an extremely tight area to work. Thank God for aluma black is all I can say, may have to just duracoat the thing when done.
