This precision turned pilot is made of heat treated 4140 (chrome moly) and finished in black oxide. It is designed to guide your Annular cutter into the right location to keep the barrel diameter concentric with the rifled barrel hole.
The cutter should be ran at slow RPMs (around 200), lubricated constantly, and a pilot used to keep it centered on the barrel properly.

Had an issue with the part bending. worked ok on the first use but deformed the second time around.

Excellent Threading tool Kit
Everything arrived in Order - The Threading tool was the fun Part - No Different then having it Professionally Done - the 243 Pilot was perfect fit for my 6MM Parker/Hale.- The Video showing how to Complete the threading really helped - Excellent Job !!
