The doublebarrel Snake rifle concept was developed by Silver Shadow to improve combatfire effectiveness by firing two rounds without the delay and recoil of acycling mechanism. The Snake will allow faster traversing between multipletargets by enabling two rounds on target with each double, side-by-side triggerpull. Therefor minimizing time on target before moving to the next target.Based on the Gilboa® AR platform, the snake has a wider upper and lowerreceivers to incorporate the two independent firing systems. The two parallelbarrels are 3 cm apart from the bore center and can be calibrated for point ofimpact with independent adjustment screws on ether barrel. The Lower as well asthe integrated stock is made from composite materials, helping our with weight.Although a double barrel AR15 rifle may not be for every client it certainly isan interesting and amazing example of modern engineering that is sure to be acollectible in the future as well as a great conversation piece.
