Rifle Barrel Threading
You will need to remove theshroud attached to the front sight block and thread the barrel. The easiest wayto remove it is with an Annular cutter. You can also cut the shroud offwith a dremel tool, but must be careful not to cut into the barrel. You will then use a Die, handle and ThreadAlignment Tool (TAT) to thread the barrel. Which muzzlebrakes are the best at reducing recoil in my Saiga 12 or VEPR 12?

Indexing a muzzlebrake using a barrel nut
If you have the barrel nutscrew the barrel nut on all the way until it stops. Then screw the muzzle brake/flash hider on allthe way until it stops on the barrel nut. If you are trying to keep a muzzle brake with portson top timed correctly, unscrew the brake until the holes are aligned correctlyon top. Then tighten the barrel nutagainst the brake to lock it into position. You should hld the brake in place with a viceto make this easier. If you did not buythe barrel nut, index the brake using Loctite and allow 24 hours for theLoctite to dry.
