This Kit comes combined with the tools needed to thread the barrel on your 7.62X39 rifle in 1/2 x 28 RH threads. Kit includes: 1 - Thread Alignment Tool 1 - Threading Oil 1 - 1.5" Die Handle 1 - 1/2 x 28 RH Threading Die. This Kit EXCLUDES the parts needed to cut your sight block: 7.62 Annular Pilot and Annular Cutter (These parts sold by CSS separately.)
Works for 0.500" to 0.520" O.D. barrels. Die Diameter is 1.5". Needs 1.5" die handle. Sight block must be cut back first on Saiga rifles.
Dies do not have any warranty. If you over tighten the die holder you can crack the die. If you do not use oil you can break cutting teeth from the die.
My barrel was within the required outer diameter minimum and maximum, so I figured I was good to go. I've drilled, tapped and died regularly for nearly 40 years now, but this die didn't bite and cut. It thought about it twice, but went on around, shaving the outside of the barrel until it started chamfering it. I knew better than to continue. I don't know if it's the big Chinese lettering on it that contributed, but I learned my lesson. Spend the money on good tools, folks.

Received a Norinco MAK90 body from may late father-in-law. Gun was missing all furniture, some operating parts and had a blank milled barrel and that measured 0.509 major diameter. This product worked great for my son and I to cut the barrel with 1/2× 28 threads for a muzzle device. Since then we have purchase all the missing 922r parts to finish rebuilding the rifle. I was able to tread the OD of my MAK-90 to screw on a muzzle break. Everything came out perfect.
