RUINED BARREL January 1, 2025 Reviewer: Rob from Texas   DO NOT USE! Ruined the barrel on my Rem 700 Long range 7mm PRC. Greased it and set the lock nuts perfectly so the guides would not wobble but spin freely. The guide was not the proper size for my 7mm barrel it was too sloppy. I greased the entire shift to ensure it would spin and not chew my rifle or mar my muzzle, it still messed it up and did not cut a square shoulder. Shot it after the work and now my sub .5" @100 gun barely holds 2" @100yards . Had to order a new barrel this one is trashed. Do not use. The idea could work if redesigned to tighter or adjustable tolerances. I was a certified machinist and worked on guns for almost two decades, sold my lathe a while back but decided to try this method. I tried to save $100 ended up costing me $600 for a replacement barrel. Was this review helpful to you?
