Got it for a tantal inspired build, ended badly December 30, 2021 Reviewer: Anonymous Person from KINGSBURG, CA United States   Internal ID not entirely finished, only one round through, still very cast finished on the inside. Looks great on my WASR3 December 21, 2021 Reviewer: Andrew Sayers from glendale, AZ United States   the price was awesome. spent 45 mins sanding the bayo lug for it to fit a Russian bayonet. I thought the job would be simple  to unpin front sight and old gas block and swap out the new one but this 90°one was extremely tight and ever so slightly bent my barrel when trying to press it on. So I hat to take it of and sand the inside and that didn't work so I completely removed barrel and all barrel parts. Here's what I did -put my barrel on the lathe to shave off an extra 1/4 inch because 90° blocks sit farther back. Weld old gas hole on barrel and redrill a new one farther back. Bent the barrel back to strait as much as humanly possible basically undetectable. Reassembled everything. And reblued all my parts. Looks fricken awesome. It was alot of work but if you have the right tools. Not sure if the wasr3 barrel was slightly different than the specs of this gas block. Upside to this project was A PRETTY GAS BLOCK and NEW SMALLER GAS HOLE DRILLED FOR MORE GENTLE EJECTION Was this review helpful to you?

Barrel bore undersized/gas tube fit September 28, 2021 Reviewer: Anonymous Person from United States   I had a few issues… 1: The description says the barrel bore is .591”. It wasn’t. I have calibrated inspection equipment and it measured at .5895”. The barrel typically measures just over .593”. This would make an interference fit of .0035. That’s way too much. I ended up boring it out to the appropriate fit and it worked fine. 2: the diameter which fits inside the gas tube was only partially machined. Meaning half of it still had the casting texture on it. This made the fit with the gas tube very poor as it is super loose. All in all it is on the rifle and should work, but only after half a day of modifications… Was this review helpful to you?
